Our Story
ALEX J. DENGLER
1986 – 2017
After our son, Alex, a Marine Corps Veteran, bravely battled cancer following his service we were inspired to create Building with Grace, dedicated to supporting Veterans facing similar battles. Our mission is clear: to provide assistance and support to Veterans diagnosed with cancer, ensuring they don’t face their fight alone. Through our work, we honor their sacrifices and strive to make a meaningful difference in their lives.
A home for our Veterans and their families provides essential support.
Our Veterans left their comfort zones to ensure we remain safe in ours. All gave much, many gave all. Some returned with or developed cancer, a tragic testament to their sacrifice. We aim to restore some sense of comfort and safety to them and their families so that they may wage their newfound battles unencumbered.
A home base free of financial stress provides a safe haven, one from which to embark into a challenging world and one to return to for healing and rejuvenation.
What We Do
At Building with Grace, our mission is deeply rooted in honoring Veterans battling cancer. We aim to make a profound difference in their lives by constructing, gifting, and retrofitting homes for them and their families. Our commitment to this cause is driven by the memory and inspiration of our beloved son, Alex J. Dengler (1986 – 2017).
